Whoops! Green Party in Wales bad spelling and false claims

As the green party in Wales has made St Augustines Ward their only target seat in the region we would point out that their pinned post on their GREEN PARTY WALES twitter page boasts careless mistakes in spelling ... Centers, stoped , succsesses, representitvies and false claims ....

Biofuels burner (in Newport) false claim coming from deputy leader Ms Bartolotti? Campaigns manager and would be St Augustines ward in Penarth candidate seems not to have noticed when tweeting this 'boastful' graphic - all rather out of date! No achievements to claim for Penarth as they were silent re Northcliffe and Headlands and St Pauls and everything else!
...the palm-oil burner was turned down in planning in Sept 2009, long before the "last council elections".
An 'activist' group succeeded the community 'Campaign to Stop Vogen Energy's Biofuel Power Station'; they prepared for a Planning Appeal, but the group fizzled out when instead a new application was submitted based on gas-fuelling (approved May 2011, amended in 2015 and Jan. 2016; being built).  The community campaign was led by Newport FoE with help from Greenpeace and Biofuelswatch  (concerned about Palm Oil plantations); Bartolotti posted a couple of items in 2010 on the Facebook page (Newport against biofuels) and remains one of the 4 Facebook members (using it for sharing the last post of Sept.2011).

VoGen proposal for burning palm oil as a heat/energy source on Alexandra Dock 2009
The campaign involved Greenpeace and Biofuelswatch; Nigel Baker of the local Greenpeace was prominent in the local NAB campaign group “Newport against biofuels/casnewydd yn erbyn biodanwyddau”, also members of Newport Friends of the Earth
Rejected by Newport Council, Sept 2009. Appeal lodged and due to proceed in late 2010, but suspended pending a new application - change into a gas-fuelled heat source, and approved with little opposition.
The facebook page shows the community campaign (Campaign to Stop Vogen Energy's Biofuel Power Station)  had been changed into a general activist campaign against biofuel plants, but fizzled out – held just one meeting in Jan.2011 concerned with the new application, which was passed with little opposition.
Vogen Energy Limited won permission from the city council’s planning committee to build the bulk drying and pelleting facility, which will have its own on-site energy centre, at Alexandra Docks, Pill.
The £50 million centre will be used to dry out materials, such as wood chipping, using a natural gas-powered turbine. At yesterday's meeting, a spokeswoman for campaign group Newport Against Biofuel, said residents were concerned about the plant's potential ..
Bartolotti is one of four members left on the facebook goup.  She had one post in Sept 2010 and a second in Sept 2011 (months after activities ceased).
Planning consent 10/1238 – variation approved Sept 2015 under delegated powers without EIA and with no public representations (probably no awareness).  http://www.newport.gov.uk/documents/Planning-Documents/Decision-schedules/Delegated-Agenda-17Sept2015.pdf
